Mine is in the Sweet By & By
for almost two decades now;
ache is like a missing limb –
gone yet presence always felt.
Mom was preeminent – simper fi.

I’m a great now like her -
rapidly approaching passing age;
so many I share motherhood with –
d’accord: our children higher than life itself.
The fulfillment/essence of sweet myrrh.

Mom’s career was the highest of all -
devoting mind, body, soul to raising seven;
gifting to divine one daughter/two sons at birth –
excelled role modeling order: what it is all about.
GOD/FAMILY/COUNTRY are triumvirate call.

I SALUTE ALL MOTHERS with prayers daily
by name and/or generic entreaty;
may you be blessed as I have been –
heart soaring in grateful praise.
Harmonic music embracing you gaily.
