Aunt Lucy

Her physical body released her soul today;
Aunt Lucy now is with our Heavenly Hosts.
Although I haven’t seen her for five decades,
remembrance is as fresh as yesterday.

She was the last of siblings to grace earth;
92 is such a phenomenally rich life.
I treasured her loving notes and prayers;
were of immeasurable worth.

I know that she is in joyful abode;
enveloped in God’s loving arms.
Encircled: children, parents, siblings, kith/kin;
yet, heart aches for familial episode.

Loved one’s passing is difficult pall;
sympathy and grace I pray is bestowed.
Until we are re-united in the sweet by & by;
my prayers are constant for one/all.
