My daily prayer walk with rosary beads in hands is done incrementally starting with a one mile walk to daily mass and back, then local mile park or neighborhood with dogs in tow usually twice more - then continue throughout day.
I’ve gotten to know most of peers through initiative saying hello, God Bless You - stopping sometimes with peer solos to extend my hand and introduction.
I know I’ve been instrumental in encouraging same for peers; delighted when I then see some don rosary beads too.
There were three Spanish women who walked together - animatedly talking - so I never stopped them - just smiled my God Bless You and proceeded on. One day one was walking alone and approached me with a smile and greeting: You are a holy woman. Well that was certainly nice so of course introductions followed and then she proceeded to ask me to say a special prayer. Her self-employment of cleaning houses was down and she was in a jam - car broke - no family/friends to help - desperately in need of $800.00.
Well this was one of those `miracle tough ones’ that ARC’s traditional norm of $3.00 seeding in the spirit of the loaves and fishes donation sure wasn’t going to fix. But I’m a believer so immediate massive prayer action started to God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Blessed Mother, Saint Joseph, and my special saint who adopted me, Saint Anthony (famous in my life for special petitions for me - kith & kin) coupled with Saints Jude/Teresa.
Next day wrote ARC $3.00 check coupled with a resource information sheet for local food banks and the one nonprofit, Catholic Charities, that had reputation of caring/sharing exigent funds. Went to park…there she was with peers. She ran up to me smiling and thanking me. That day, after seeing me, she worked for Doctor client who too heard dilemma. A loan check was written by her for the full amount.
Amalia believes my prayers contributed; I agree: hers/mine/peers were part of it all…prayer with faith…God’s will/God’s time/God’s mystery - miracles illuminate+.
