ARTS-lit/film/music/poetry… manage to remove:
helping empathy transcend to enlightened groove.
Comedy too has astounding power to open sights:
laughter often succeeds where all else will fail.
It’s like sugar that helps the medicine go down:
transform from ignoramus to wearing crown.
Some movies just role model plain goodness:
Won’t You Be My Neighbor? is grace in action.
Fred Rogers exemplar to youth kinship by all:
when he bathed feet with Clemons, ten feet tall.
Kramer vs Kramer opened dialog long condemned:
people change – differences can be insurmountable.
Faiths, like Catholicism, infamous condemning divorce:
curious how empathy illumed when pope changed course.
My Pilgrims Progress has had multi turning points:
losing best friend at age eight catalyst for all to come:
the Righteous, Books, Film, Notables, ongoing growth:
clarified loving divine all…neighbor as self-solemn oath.
Biographies, Historical Drama, Classics … favorite reading:
Roots, Pay It Forward, Sapiens, Black Like Me … stirred soul.
Imitation of Life, Lost Boundaries … heart wrenching sympathy:
realized best teacher in all disciplines is compassionate empathy.
Investigative Reporting deserves magnified shout-out:
60 Minutes/Ken Burns PBS documentaries excellent.
I find it unfathomable at times to witness lies as truth:
adults hoodwinked/duped like unsophisticated youth.
Parrot consensus as in The Emperor’s New Clothes:
exclaim like fabled Henny Penny: The Sky is Falling.
Forte is Fox News and shows like Jerry Springer:
famous for ultra conservative right wringer.
Another president in century shamed American:
Nixon’s Watergate illuminated no one above law.
U.S. Code 18-Chapter 101 violated by Trump:
not just stain, but ever-growing cancerous lump.
Soon, there will be enlightening books/movies/plays:
clarifying for one/all the danger America has been in.
Major nations have celebrations for light over dark:
Illumination a must for fresh air walk in the park.
Soon there will be epic book/movie on past decade:
affirming Plato/Spirkins’ philosophy art imitates life.
Prayer is that `it’ inspires hope future universal peace:
Mother Earth attracts enlightened for renaissance lease.
