 Gone with the Wind depicts two women dichotomized:

Scarlett is vein, selfish, self-seeking yet very strong.

Melanie is sweet, loyal, nice, indefatigable in grace:

her sisterly bond magnifies love transcends wrong.

 

Half of life (twenties to forties) similar to Scarlett:

education/career/pleasure front burner top priority.

Children, domestic tranquility secondary focus:

maturity blossomed at fiftieth celebrating seniority.

 

Melanie nature rose like proverbial phoenix:

plight of homeless was renaissance new dawn.

Righteous/Luminaries were synthesizing soul:

service was joy and metamorphosing brawn.

 

I am on the eve of octogenarian twilight years:

I give testimony to sweet blessings unfathomed.

They are smile/depth of empathy by friends:

mind, heart, soul emotions, zeitgeist gladdened.
