Menorah wicks burned miraculously for eight days.

 

Kith/Kin celebrate Hanukkah by lighting candles each night,

 

sing Ma’oz Tour, recite Hallelprayer, eat latkes and sufganiyot.

 

Dreidel is played and chocolate gelt awarded;

 

celebrating customs that differ around the world.

 

As one day of oil was blessed for lasting wonderment,

 

my prayer for you/yours is peace/vigor/success constant.
