It’s supposed to be end of the world
according to the Mayan calendar,
but I have never felt more connected
to the here and now,
sweet by and by+

Recently watched poet James Autry
on Issues of Art and Heart with Bill Moyers;
his poem Disconnected lamenting loss
refreshed anew familiar for mine,
lump in throat aching sigh+

Daily the prayers for the suffering
eons and ages from beginning ‘til now;
rising like Phoenix with each birth/death
anguish in Newtown, anywhere, everywhere,
perpetual question of why oh why+

How the answer resonates within me
since murderous assault seven years ago;
first experienced at retarded sister’s birth:
Divine Mystery’s seasons spring, summer,
fall, winter pain unite humanity’s cry+

I converse with the spirit of all
in prayers that unite our aura energy;
souls of loved ones communion with present:
seeding, meditating, reaping, comforting,
praising Godly will with Amen and AYE+
