Have you ever had an epiphany -

 

I have had numerous in lifetime.

 

Some were simple as clarified look…

 

like faces or vase in psychology book.

 

 

Once struggled so much, drove to beach -

 

I paced up and down for over an hour.

 

Then eureka solution crystalized…

 

meaning clear with nothing disguised.

 

 

I believe human evolvement seeks higher -

 

we attract what is needed for growth.

 

Thus, if lacking in logic or reason…

 

will seek course educational season.

 

 

 

 

The Peter Principle submits feats stop at inability -

 

ECPs are subconscious efforts to increase skill.

 

Prejudice negates kinship, threatens moral fruition:

 

civil rights crusade is righteous trek compensation. 

 

 

 

Whether individual/group/society, growth is vital -

 

if not, self/group/nation sabotage is inevitable.

 

DECLARATION trespass will cause entropy:

 

America will fail in entelechial eternal legacy.

 

 

 

Humans need academic/experiential growth -

 

both contribute to maturity/ageless wisdom.

 

Through empathy we are able to respect/love…

 

commandment is ultimate from divine above.

The Man in the Glass

When you get what you want in your struggle for self
and the world makes you king for a day
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
and see what that man has to say

For it isn't your father or mother or wife
who judgment upon you must pass
The fellow whose verdict counts the most in your life
is the one staring back from the glass

Some people may think you a straight-shooting chum
and call you a wonderful guy
But the guy in the glass says you're only a bum
if you can't look him straight in the eye

He's the fellow to please never mind all the rest
for he's with you clear up to the end
And you've passed your most dangerous difficult test
if the man in the glass is your friend

You may fool the whole world down the pathway
of life and get pats on the back as pass
But your final reward will be heartaches and
tears if you've cheated the man in the glass.

it is military who exemplify hallowed wright.

 

 

 

For our nation exclaims `under God’ in pledge:

 

we agree that democracy means freedom for all.

 

Justice, equality for men/women, sex, race, age:

 

know past/present/future role models world stage.

 

 

 

Our veterans step up to uphold these truths:

 

with volunteer spirit and courage to defend.

 

Truly, I hold you in awe and deepest respect:

I miss one of my very special neighbors:

 

George Cope, WWII Army vet, passed 2020.

 

He used to volunteer security at nearby mall:

 

serving nation always was instinctive duty call.

 

 

In dramatic contrast are several area young men:

 

they get kicks out of speeding setting alarms off.

 

Attitude is hinder the peace, well-being of locale:

 

lacking in their persona is a respecting morale.

 

 

 

Our country is divided over threatening crisis:

 

yet, `we the people’ share pledge of allegiance.

 

Our métier renders unity of respect/equal care:

 

voting/justice/pandemic… help is what we share.

Science has proven vaccinations thwart:

 

mother polio stricken before miracle vaccine.

 

COVID-19 has deaths attributed over five million:

 

saluting vaccine mavens saving countless/me-a civilian. 

 

 

 

I am nonplussed over vaccine and help demeanor:

 

analogous to Paradise Fire that could have been avoided.

 

`Research and Leadership’ was lacking to say the least:

 

yet, now, at peak, hosts sabotage like imprudent beast.

 

 

Patriotic fidelity to help and overcome is sorely lacking:

 

individuals/groups/sacred/secular opposing helpfulness.

 

`Rights’ are claimed as reason to oppose and hinder:

 

guilty as someone yelling fire stoking incendiary tinder.

 

 

Public Hygiene promoted to decrease germ warfare:

 

driver’s license, infrastructure codes benefit us all.

 

Please, dear universal kith and kin, hear my plea:

 

respecting neighbor as self is preservation for you/me!
