I have been blessed all my life with neighbors upright!

Near and far, city to state, there have been a multitude.

Prayer list is long for all of them from childhood to senior.

I believe were all guided by magisterium divine consignor.

 

There are several definitions of the term.

One referring to proximity, another biblical.

The most renowned: `love your neighbor as self’.

Solemn philosophy contrary childlike view like an elf.

 

Of course, `love’ too has multi characterizations.

Personally, I like to interchange love and respect. 

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

The Golden Rule exemplifies highest divine view.

 

 

Miracle prayer/medical skill overcame murderous attack.

Surreal recovery accelerated by loving kin/kith neighbors.

Truly in my twilight years I have been blessed with the best.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart/prayers daily until I rest.

         So yesterday, as I finished a load of clothes, I noticed an option for the first time: clean washer.  Now, I had the habit of doing this bi-annually on a gentle cycle with white vinegar.  As it was due, I thought I would try that cycle.

         Big, big mistake.

         I do not know why, but when I went into the area a few hours later: FLOOD.

         Quick thinking me, I pulled off three furniture covered cotton sheets and small rag rugs that soaked up the deluge.  Three washes later, all put back in place except for the rugs hanging outside to dry.

         Now, it is later, and I went to feed Paco who has been steadily declining in lonely funk for the love of his life, my veteran caretaker son, has been gone for a week taking care of his grands in Arizona.

         And I can’t find him.  I went room to room in all the spots that I know he loves to seclude in, and he is nowhere to be found.  I do this not once, twice, or three times, but FIVE and no answer to my call.

         So, truly, I start questioning my mind.  I look outside even though I am POSITIVE that he could not have gotten out and no one walked in.

         I KNOW there is a rational reason, but WHAT IS IT?

         I calm myself, say a few prayers, and proceed to look another time.

         Voila, next to his loved one’s chair, under the TV table that is obscured by a waste basket is the found stray that is unadulterated therapy and unconditional LOVE that brings priceless joy to him/me.

         So, o.k. end of drama, right?  Wrong!

         I am up during the night for one of my ten-to-twelve-bathroom excursions, when he wants to go out and do his business in the backyard which is usually once a night occurrence.

         THE FLOOR IS WET!

         HOW?!

         It seems that as the washer overflowed it also went into the very large roaster stored under the sink – and when Pepito, my feline, came in at one of his walkabout jaunts, it got bumped thus spilling more water.

         All the dishtowels stored on top soaked along with costly meaty dog treats stored inside.

         So, once again, water control with another load; rawhides rinsed and placed on baking sheet in t oven to dry out and re-store (did not work/needed to throw away).

         Adventure, adventure, adventure!

I have a phenomenal positive imagery collage:

 

composed of Magic Moments and Memories –

 

enfolded in loose overlapping mental draperies.

 

 

I play them almost daily nestled at twilight time:

 

children, grands, greats - surrogates during lifespan –

 

kith/kin – child/youth/adult – role modeling woman/man.

 

 

Some are nestled in nature’s wonder – beach to parks:

 

sunrise to sunset: plants, flowers, menagerie to pets –

 

encyclopedic in size of which I am able to compress.

 

 

Some too are achievements: teaching/founding/writing:

helping others provide the richest vein of memoirs –

joyous epiphanies when mind escaped limiting bars.

 

A favorite is one that I have created in artist mind:

divine orchestrating cosmos nature human symphony –

each playing unique instrument in harmonious brilliancy.

 

I am blessed and have litany of perpetual prayers:

visualizing universal life loving in peace and respect -

divine will of kith/kin neighbor harmony that is perfect.

         The RFHP provides a short-term emergency transitional housing with on-site supportive services to 45 individuals in the City of Whittier. Services include on-site health clinic, health screenings, mental health services, on-site meals, case management, clothing, transportation, 12 step meetings, education, training and employment assistance. First Day provides professional and social service offices and meeting space... RFHP… four-phase program: 

Emergency Shelter-An evaluation and assessment phase, which allows for supportive transitional setting from the isolation of the streets to a community setting. Individuals are required to attend all day-time educational classes.
