I have a very long prayer list –

kith and kin near and far –

living intimate and generic –

sweet by and by missed.


Litany begins with heavenly hosts –

followed by closest in memory creed –

then those who have petitioned or ill –

individually named as sentinel posts.


I BELIEVE in Divine Higher Power –

with legions volunteering to help -

thus, I add my earnest prayers –

beseeching succor forever in every hour.

I salute VOLUNTEERS -

they epitomize the best of altruism:

Mensches in thought, word, deed;

notables among righteous peers.


They are warp/weft of good will tableau –

contributing time, expertise, to social good:

luminaries who brighten everyday existence;

rays of sunshine through rainbow life flow.


I am saluting Long Beach Bridge Club –

espirit de corps who teach, manage, succor…:

community in need of mental/social enrichment;

truly enrichment renaissance rejuvenating hub.

WE are interfaith family under GOD -

each guided to divine unique credence:

on Rainbow paths with ONE SOURCE,

portrayed by staff of Jesus or Moses’ rod.


Tradition is sacred to kith and kin –

celebrations enrich our familial bond:

peace and harmony are prayed for,

envelope us like consecrated skin.


We believe venerated ancestors guide –

inspiring and motivating us to higher love:

empathy for each as sister or brother,

where peace on earth/good will to all may abide.


May holydays now and forever more –

enrich, illuminate, fill us with joy:

comfort and embrace universal humankind,

infinitely bless our esprit de corps.

Oftentimes I interact with someone and think of another:

I have feeling of divine guidance suggesting connection.

It is analogous to introduction of new kith or kin -

I am catalyst connecting new sister or brother.


Maybe they are to meet or just hear name:

Kabbalah, spiritual realm, HaShem guides all.

We are orchestra, in harmony with conductor -

loving resonance and knowing is aim.


We are nescient by sacredness in caring:

synchronized experiential phenomenon.

I am praying juxtaposed with listening –

responding as inspired with sharing.

From the first spiritually guided meeting,

I have held you in sacred prayers.

Throughout years my love/respect has grown,

for you role-model the best of human who cares.


Our friendship is nurtured by deep abiding faith,

rejuvenated by Catholic mass sanctified mystery.

We have so much in common contributing to amity,

love of God/Jesus/Spirit/kith/kin, humankind history.


Prayers are continuous for you/yours,

extra devoted for heavenly abode daughter.

I feel your Kristen accompanying us,

with Holy Spirit flowing like holy water.


Thank you for being my blessed friend,

loving neighbor as self, God with whole heart.

You are a luminary notable that shines,

like a majestic serene oeuvre of art.###
