MEMORIAM

MEMORIAM
ARC © 9/20/17

Loss is so hard for us to bear:
`life force’ contributes so much -
words, actions, feelings, a touch.

We think we are prepared:
youth onward meaning is clear –
eventually we lose someone dear.

Daily we are reminded of mortality:
kith & kin reports to media news –
are incessant reminders to muse.

The majority of `us’ ponder our fate:
whether short or long we pray for hereafter –
to once again renew with joy and laughter.

This is my prayer for you and yours:
that the divine mystery we share is blessed –
your loved one is a joyfully welcomed guest.

In the sweet by and by ruled by divine:
where we will all share peace & kinship love –
united in ecstasy with our supreme God above.###

LABOR

Labor © 9/4/17 Monday @ 6:30 A.M.
ARC

I was introduced to Labor @ 17 months.
Mom placed newborn in arms saying I was little Mommy.
I was her `go-for’ because of crippled feet.
She had polio at seven: her young life not so sunny.

Her constant praise for aid made me leap for joy.
Helping her was heaven on earth.
The glow permeated every job thereafter.
Service to others was better than gold’s worth.

I have had multi eclectic jobs throughout life.
No matter if mundane or exciting, I was grateful.
I could care and share talents divinely bestowed.
Blessed labor life was cornucopia plateful.###
