Can You Imagine

ARC © 1/22/14 Please Save/Care/Share
Can you imagine
A reality show a few years back swapped wives:
volunteers submitted application, exchanged places.

Fascinating psychology observing uprooted reactions:
participants were across the board - culture and races.

Can you imagine a society having annual adult mandate:
for three months all randomly drafted to anonymous locale.

Citizens voted law reasoning love ruled when empathy shared: `
Walking in another’s shoes’ guaranteeing respect basis rational.

A rich, powerful board chairman switches with black busboy:
septuagenarian volunteer mentoring group guides one on one.

Or straight minister exchanges pulpit with homosexual marine:
traits of hubris, arrogance, elitism, prejudice … become undone.

Jane Elliott’s classroom exercise `blue eyed against brown‘:
progressively grew to showcased art in The Eye of the Storm.

Humankind’s innocent always fall prey to historical evil patterns:
murder/wicked schemes/false witness/greed/power… bells mourn.

Throughout ages roles models have risen above the fray:
social conscience fueling exemplary courageous behavior.

Love’s divine empathy sparks angels of our better natures:
rising like the Phoenix transfiguring each one of us a savior.

Dear Notable,
I rise early bending knee in grateful praise for renaissance life
granted from 42 stab wounds that resulted in debilitating two month coma,
severed ear, blind in one eye, chronic physical/mental trauma.

Within the hour, I proceed to walk 1.2 miles to church
continuing extensive praising/petition prayer list for universal kith/kin - you/one/all.

am now a disabled septuagenarian still, as able,
caring and sharing under federal/state approved nonprofit I founded almost five decades ago.

It’s mission conception was modest: care and share, as able,
without government funding relying totally on self-labor efforts
and tax-deductible Samaritan donations.

I have just completed a book that I know will be helpful to notables,
religious/educational groups, other…forwarding complimentary to one/all.

Throughout the years I have been blessed to visit holy homes of worship of all denominations.
By far, the `ones’ that `walked the talk’ of loving service to the community stood out in magnificent societism.

One is a church that opens its doors at night to accommodate homeless sleeping in their pews.
Another has a corps of volunteer parishioners that specialize in helping categories
from immigrant guidance through the social service system,
to legal aide regarding insurance/contract comprehension,
juxtaposed with caretaking services for elderly
and multi other every day petitions that
could range from the mundane
to serious economic intervention like keeping utilities on, food in the cupboard.
Some role models that inspire me/ARC:

SOCIETISM

ARC © Jan. 13, 2014 Please Save/Care/Share

SOCIETISM

My soul is keening:
crying out in wretched lament.
Americans ruled by capitalistic greed
disavow human and animal torment.

The ARTS are mirroring
suffering from mammal to human.
Blackfish and 12 Years A Slave
expose capitalistic greed of subhuman.

The 100 Greatest Americans of the 20th Century
is phenomenal testimony by Peter Dreier
Revealing Americans who walked the talk -
of sacred constitution words aimed higher.

With immortal WE THE PEOPLE -
SOCIETISM is what founders aimed for.
All under God free to live fullest potential -
animal/human kingdoms kith & kin corps.

Constantly pray for rich/powerful/world leaders:
Please God, expel evil from us - one/all.
Cast greed, blasphemy, unholy forces from earth:
Infuse us with empathetic spirit so we rise tall.
