HIP began in February, and organizers said they hope to be fully staffed by early summer. All in all, they will add about 18 members including physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, case managers and psychiatrists. For the health side of service, HIP will be partnering with The Children’s Clinic. The most vulnerable homeless who will be targeted will include people afflicted with schizophrenia, major depression, affective disorders, diabetes, STDs, hepatitis, AIDS, cardiopulmonary disease, cancer, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, respiratory illness, chronic pain and arthritis.
“It’s completely mobile, so people don’t have to go to a site, we’ll bring all these services to them,” Legere said. “That’s what’s unique for this.”

Namaste’ Center for Spiritual Living Active Beacon of Love

Contact: ARC
Email: AssociationRenaissanceCreators@yahoo.com

I intuitively knew when I visited The Namaste’ Center, Sunday June 2nd, it would be wonderful, but it surpassed expectations to extraordinary.

It began with a lovely smiling woman who immediately approached and welcomed me. How often in my spiritual odyssey of visiting `new’ I would puzzle over extolling love message contradiction extolling love yet ignored visiting stranger. Not so at Namaste’. Julie welcomed and followed through by immediately showing me around and introducing me to others.

The hour activities swayed from talented energetic musicians with congregation participation in upbeat to spiritually soothing and also had solo performers that were soul stirring. Rev. James was par excellence.

The week before I attended a special `round-table’ excellent discussion group facilitated by George Weatherford and fellow attendees Hailey and Liz; and impressive notables: Scott Olson and Sue Lewis.

I met practitioner Chris and Nicky, Nathan, Julia, Gary, Daniel,
others and class-act Eileen who donated into the giving box for me
to enjoy coffee and refreshments!

This group is inclusive, extraordinary, universal in `kith & kin’ love! I highly recommend one/all to experience a Sunday Service. For info and details regarding seminars please refer to the Namaste’ Center for Spiritual Living website: http://www.NamasteCSL.org

HIP began in February, and organizers said they hope to be fully staffed by early summer.
All in all, they will add about 18 members including physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, case managers and psychiatrists. For the health side of service, HIP will be partnering with The Children’s Clinic.
During the time that it is funded, officials said they expect to have a maximum of 100 individuals enrolled for services, with 300 total by the end of the three years. Currently, there are about 60 referrals for HIP to get started. “We will start with the list from the vulnerability study (which was mostly downtown), but people with homelessness often move around,” Legere said. “It’s a very specific set of people, so often it takes a while to build a trusting relationship. There is going to be a lot of people we meet who might not want to fully engage with us right away.”

Anyone who knows of someone who might qualify can call the HIP information and referral line at 285-1330 ext. 266. “It’s completely mobile, so people don’t have to go to a site, we’ll bring all these services to them,” Legere said. “That’s what’s unique for this.”

Bill Moyers: I salute the light within you; letter re: `death penalty'.

RE: 3/27/13 http://billmoyers.com/episode/and-justice-for-some/

In a preview of this weekend’s show, journalists Martin Clancy and Tim O’Brien make the case that —
for the poor in America — justice is still unaffordable.

Dear Mr. Moyers:
I am faithful fan; salute the light within you.
Frankly, you are the `one’ I go to for educational growth in one subject after another.
Dec. 15, 2005 while opening up another homeless refuge
I was violently assaulted by `evil’ - 42 stab wounds; coma two months.
The story is dramatic; too long for here.
Young 23 white man serving maximum: 15 years two counts of attempted murder.
Not only did I `forgive’ but daily prayed for his soul - did not want `death penalty’; yearned for `him’ to redeem soul back which he had sold `to the devil’.
I have worked with mentally ill; he was Manson’s kin.
I recently read his name on a `prison ministry’ outreach website.
My prayers will never cease.
Yes, loved ones `initial reaction’ was to destroy; but divine are our roots.
Of course, we want `just punishment’ which frankly I believe should have been life; for unless he truly is redeemed, evil will only perpetuate.
Venerable Attorney Louis Nizer wrote eloquently on this topic.
God Bless.
You are in my daily prayers.
Respectfully, RMN '
