If you were hosting a party, you greet and welcome your guest standing with a smile and offering handshake. Class act is to say goodbye with a party favor. Best party favor is one with contact info like a permanent photo magnet - you don’t want it to wear out or forgotten. Have all literature with contact info on each one paper clipped with favor. Unless there is `down time’, do not sit at your booth and or spend time conversing with attendees. The interaction will go something like this. You are standing with info in left hand. Smile, eye contact, right hand shake and present gift/info saying: Hi, my name is: ______________________. I represent: _________________________________________________; and we provide: _____________________________________________. The attendee is NOT going to read literature then; idea is to present a positive image and hopefully they will contact you once they have time to go over what you have presented. Best info is ONE WHITE PAPER FLYER WITH LARGE COLOR PRINT. If it is downtime, you can encourage interaction by asking: is there anything I can explain to you now; and/or even better, is there anything in particular that you are interested in? If you are hosting expo an additional gift should be a very large carry all savable bag with contact info and your hand out literature should also include roster of all your participants with their contact info. Have copious signs pointing: Water, Rest Rooms, Parking, Info Desk. All booth workers should have name tags and BIG SMILES. Make sure time allocated to take down and clean hosting venue.
